Pennine Five – next phase

Work is underway to create a new outdoor plaza at Pennine Five.  To date, you may have noticed the makeover of the exterior of this former HSBC headquarters. The interiors have also been updated to provide over 230,000 sq ft of office space.  Creating a central plaza has long been seen as a key element to not only unlocking the potential for the campus, but also acting as a catalyst for growth in this area of Sheffield city centre.

There will be attractive green planting and accessible seating areas, all designed to offer people a place to relax, socialise and collaborate at the heart of Pennine Five.  Chloe Brook, Director of our client RBH Properties says in a recent Insider article: “…our plans for Pennine Five are all about opening it up to wider business and local residential communities…”.

She adds that the plaza, in providing great outdoor space, will also support the well-being and creative thinking of the on-site businesses.  Through regular art installations and events, it can also help to bring a new sense of place and identity to the whole area.

Leasing at Pennine Five has already kicked off well (tenants include First Intuition, the Dept for Works and Pensions and Sheffield College).  The large number of underground parking places add to the attraction (along with cycle spaces, changing rooms and a fitness/wellbeing centre).  If you fancy citing your business in this dynamic mix of attractive outside realm and workspaces, see our listing for more information.
