Leah’s Yard – Step Forward

In another good news story for the regeneration of Sheffield’s city centre, planning permissions have now been submitted for the proposed transformation of the historic Leah’s Yard.  The idea is to create a hub for independent businesses which will operate as part of the wider Heart of the City development programme.  It is intended for the building to become a new destination for retailers, socialising and enterprises.

The preliminary structural work is nearing completion with the council and it’s strategic partner, Queensberry, now having submitted planning applications for the main construction and fit out work.  For more information on the proposed complex, which sits between Cambridge Street and Backfields, see the Insider Media article published on 10 August.

We here at colloco are proud to be involved in helping the council safeguard this heritage property whilst endeavouring to breath new life into Sheffield city centre (by creating a new social destination for eating, drinking, shopping and holding events).  For more information on Leah’s Yard, see our listing.
