Preffered bidder selected @ Leah’s Yard

Following an extensive bidding process, we have assisted Sheffield City Council (and their strategic development partner, Queensberry) in selecting their preferred bidder – Sheffield Science Park Company (SSPCo) – to transform the 19th century building at Leah’s Yard (part of the HoTC2 redevelopment).

Leah’s Yard is viewed as one of Sheffield’s most important heritage buildings, and will become a new destination for local independent businesses and socialising.  Once fully refurbished, it will feature a collection of traders within ground floor studios, offering everything from furniture and clothes to artisan foods and ales, with further spaces on upper floors to accommodate the best of Sheffield’s small businesses.

In a press announcement released by The Business Desk, the two key players involved with the SSPCo and the bid state: “Sheffield is home to so many extremely talented people who develop incredible products, but they rarely reside in the City Centre.  Our vision for Leah’s Yard is to bring all that together in one place and provide these businesses with a literal shop window and an affordable route into the city centre”.  We will continue to work with SCC to assist SSPCo to fulfil their ambitions for this iconic heritage site.
