We’ve had another mention in the local press recently as a result of our assistance in helping Nina Patel-Bigland and her husband Matt (of Milestone Group fame) secure the former cutlery premises, Cutlery Works, to establish Sheffield’s first high-end food hall. The idea is to create a dynamic “giant kitchen” offering multiple cuisine styles alongside craft ales, cocktails and wines in a fashionable location. The huge space – just under 15,000 sq ft – will take account of the building’s industrial heritage, retaining metal beams and exposed brickwork. We understand that the hall is already fully occupied, months in advance, with a waiting list of occupiers on standby. Split over two levels, it will have contrasting atmospheres on each floor.
In the article, we mention that it is our view that Sheffield could sustain more offerings like this on account of the fact that one of it’s unique selling points to companies, their staff and young entrepreneurs moving to work/live here is the “lifestyle” Sheffield can offer.
