Park Hill: phase II imminent

The continued redevelopment of the iconic Sheffield landmark, Park Hill, is progressing.  Accommodation provider Alumno, working alongside regeneration company Urban Splash and the City Council, is leading phase three of the estate’s overhaul. Planning permission has now been obtained to create student accommodation and townhouses.  Building is expected to commence in 2019.  There will also be a commercial offering which we are pleased to be marketing.

In a recent article in The Star, it was made clear by Nick Riley of Whittham Cox, the architectural practice that has drawn up the designs for the student building, that Phase II would not have happened without the input of a number of local planners, developers, businesses, the universities and professionals comprised in the Sheffield Property Association (SPA).  The SPA – which aims to be the “collective voice of property in Sheffield” – used their expertise for the good of the city’s regeneration and to act as a “critical friend” to the Council.  See:

As we are handling enquiries for business space at Park Hill, we provided input into the article. Referring to the initial redevelopment, we highlight that “Phase I was always the hard yards up here… But now [we] think we are at that tipping point. It’s received so much better in the city”.  For example, the former Scottish Queen pub is being advertised as a prime site for a new bar or restaurant: if interested, why not get in touch?
